Necklace Designs

Today I finished my final necklace for my current project. The deadline is this Friday and I still have a bit of book work to do but it is a big relief to have the final outcome over and done with!
Before I present the final piece I want to show some of the journey towards my final design with some of my ideas in my sketchbook.

  1. Fantastic study, very exhaustive and creative. The models compliment the drawings perfectly, certainly helped me to better visualise your directions, thank you for sharing. Though I can’t say why, I loved the magnet idea. Best wishes.

    • Thank you 🙂 working like this is quite new to me, I usually just experiment and end up with something, so I am very pleased with how well I worked like this, although I have found it very difficult at times.

Interesting. At first I wasn’t very into the idea of using magnets however since making my final necklace (I’ll post this in a couple of posts) I actually think I should have given magnets more consideration.. I recently got hold of a lot of tiny magnets so perhaps now I have finished my work for Uni I could give that idea a go.

    • Thank you 🙂 They are quite technical, it’s definitely the most complex work I have attempted!

I’m studying Contemporary Applied Arts at Hereford College of Arts. Although the course is changing its name to Contemporary Design Craft.
My course and Jewellery Design are mixed together so we all have the same opportunities and I do tend to make jewellery most of the time. I just like to keep my options open.

      Thanks again x
